Laboratoria Coffee

Please tell us a little bit about yourself:

I have been working with coffee for 14 years. I participated in various national championships, went to the finals, but have only been to the Cezve/Ibrik Championship in London. I have participated in the Russian Barista Championship for the two years and I am very happy with my victory. For the last three years, I have been mainly engaged in roasting coffee and this helped me better understand the beans as a barista.

Please list the coffee competitions you have participated in, what year they took place, and your results:

Russian Cezve/Ibrik Champion 2011
Finalist – Russian Latte Art & Coffee in Good Spirits Championships 2012 – 2015
Russian Barista Championship 2016 (Time disqualification)
Russian Barista Champion 2017.

Is there anyone you would like to thank or recognize, or who helped you to prepare for the WBC?:

I am grateful to my company and the team, my coach.

How do you see the coffee industry changing in the future?:

Even more experimentation with the processing of berries, the search for new varieties of coffee trees, and the optimization of barista equipment.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?:

In the future, searching for the perfect cup of coffee.

What are your interests outside of coffee?:

I love music, I play a little guitar. Last year discovered CrossFit.
