Please tell us a little bit about yourself:
I am a barista and also a business man. I run a coffee shop. I love what I do. I’m married with Karla Ivonne De La Cruz and we have a girl, Marzela and a boy Diego. I’m Christian and very religious person, because this is the most important thing in my life. What I enjoy the most is training people around coffee.
What are you excited to do while you are in Seoul?:
I will go to win WBC 2017. And also learn about the coffee culture in this country.

2014 Non-official Competition – First Place AeroPress
2015 – 4th Place National Barista Championship
2017 – 1st Place National Barista Championship

How do you see the coffee industry changing in the future?:
I will keep growing. There is going to be more and better ways to prepare coffee.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?:
Running my own coffee roastery and 10 new coffee shops. Being the founder of the first certified barista academy.
What are your interests outside of coffee?:
Foodservice business and consultant.
